On Friday, March 21, 2025, something truly special happened on Long Island. Kenz Couch—a creative force redefining what it means to be a dancer, choreographer, and storyteller—stepped into True Dance Potential’s training facility and delivered a master class that left dancers transformed.
From the moment the doors opened, the energy was electric. Dancers from across Long Island poured into the room—from local studios, kickline teams, and independent programs—to train with an artist who embodies the next generation of dance leadership.
The class sold out. The movement was bold. The room was alive.
Who Is Kenz Couch?
Kenz is a multi-dimensional creator:
- Co-Valedictorian at Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA)
- BFA in Dance from NYU Tisch School of the Arts
- Graduate of NYU’s Business of Entertainment Program
- Host of the popular podcast “Stop Talking Kenz”
- Rising name in choreography, content, and creative education
She represents a new era of dance—where intention, creativity, and professionalism intersect. And on this night, she brought every bit of that artistry to the dancers of Long Island.
The Experience: Power, Presence & Purpose
Kenz’s master class was more than movement. It was an experience that:
- Pushed dancers physically and creatively through challenging, emotionally driven choreography
- Encouraged individuality while refining precision and musicality
- Gave dancers a glimpse into what it takes to work at the industry level
There was no ego. Just a room full of dancers willing to show up, connect, and pour into the work.
A Growing Community of Artistic Excellence
True Dance Potential, located at 1150 Lincoln Ave in Holbrook, NY, is more than a facility—it’s a space built to foster artistic growth, athletic development, and industry-level preparation.
Our goal is simple:
To provide dancers of all levels and backgrounds a space where they can train intentionally, explore creatively, and be surrounded by others doing the same.
From weekly movement evaluations to strength and conditioning, mobility training, audition prep, and master classes, we offer a full-circle approach to dance training.
TDP exists to support the Long Island dance community, to elevate it, and to show the wider industry just how much undeniable talent lives right here in our region.
This isn’t about replacing anyone. It’s about building something that dancers and studios can be proud to be a part of.
Dancers Came From Everywhere—and That Matters
The turnout for Kenz’s class was incredible.
From Huntington to Patchogue, Smithtown to Sayville, Bay Shore to Massapequa—dancers showed up from all corners of the island.
That alone speaks volumes.
When dancers from different studios, towns, and teams come together under one roof to train, explore, and be challenged—that’s when community turns into movement.
And that’s what we’re building here at TDP.
